MCST Conducted Policy Briefings with 59 Affiliated and Public Organizations

These briefings were designed to ensure the swift implementation of follow-up measures outlined during the Presidential briefing on December 16 and to assess each organization’s capacity to address field issues in a timely manner.

Sports Industry Revenue Reaches Record High of KRW 84.7 Trillion in 2024

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the key findings of the “Sports Industry Survey” for 2024 on January 8 (Thursday). The Survey is a nationally approved statistical survey conducted pursuant to Article 7 of the Sports Industry Promotion Act and Article 18 of the Statistics Act. Since its launch in 2010, the survey has been conducted annually to assess the scale and business conditions of the sports industry.

National Museum of Korea Facilitates the Donation of Qing Dynasty Stone Lions from the Kansong Art Museum to China

The National Museum of Korea (Director: YOU Hong June), which has been facilitating the donation procedures of the stone lions to China at the request of the Kansong Art Museum, signed a donation agreement with Rao Quan, Administrator of the National Cultural Heritage Administration of China, at the Qing Dynasty Stone Lions Donation Signing Ceremony held on Monday, January 5, during the Korea–China Summit. The ceremony took place at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and was attended by President Lee Jae Myung of the Republic of Korea and President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China.
