MCST Minister Inspects Safety Preparedness at BTS Gwanghwamun Concert Site

On the morning of March 20 (Friday), Minister CHAE Hwi-young of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) visited the Gwanghwamun concert site, where the BTS comeback concert will take place on March 21, and the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, where the MCST Emergency Operations Center will be established, to inspect preparations and the safety management system.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in recognition of BTS’s global cultural influence, will launch special programs from March 20 in partnership with five major national cultural institutions—the National Museum of Korea, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, the National Folk Museum of Korea, the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, and the National Library of Korea —to offer visitors traveling to Korea for the group’s March 21 comeback concert a deeper experience of K-Culture.

“Korea Travel Expo 2026” Opens Under Theme “Travel Beyond the Everyday, Journeys That Benefit Local Communities”

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister CHAE Hwi-young, MCST), together with the Korea Tourism Association (KTA), will host the Korea Travel Expo 2026 from March 19 (Thursday) to 22 (Sunday) at the COEX Magok Exhibition Center and Magok Square. Second Vice Minister KIM Dae-hyun of MCST will attend the opening ceremony on March 19 to celebrate the expo’s opening and take part in hands-on programs.

“Global Festivals” Selected as Key Content to Achieve 30 Million Inbound Tourists
