Korean Culture and Information Service (Director PARK Jung-Youl, KOCIS) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST) hosts “2021 Korea Contents Week” to promote Korean culture throughout the world in various ways starting October at seven Korean Cultural Centers (KCCs). “Korea Contents Week,” newly introduced by KOCIS, is Korea’s comprehensive cultural festival, sharing vibes of the cultural festival at every corner of the world and providing online cultural promotional videos.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST) hosts and the Korea Tourism Organization (President AHN Young Bae, KTO) organizes the 2021 WELCOME DAEHAKRO from September 27th (Monday) to October 29th (Friday). WELCOME DAEHAKRO is an annual festival offering various genres of Korea’s performing arts, including non-verbal performances, traditional performances, musicals, and plays. The theme of this year WELCOME DAEHAKRO is RE:BOOT.

International Typography Biennale: Typojanchi 2021

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST) hosts and the Korea Craft & Design Foundation (President KIM Tae Hoon, KCDF) and the Organizing Committee of International Typography Biennale organize Typojanchi 2021 under the title of A Turtle and A Crane at Culture Station Seoul 284 from September 14th (Tuesday) to October 17th (Sunday). Marking the 7th anniversary in 2021, the exhibition initiated from the idea that letters were symbols of representing peoples’ long-lasting desire, hope, and trust. The theme of the exhibition is Typography and Life. The title of the exhibition this year was the popular quote in Korea some 4 decades ago, representing wish for longevity and immortal life of people.
