Minister PARK Bo Gyoon took office as the new Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) on May 13, 2022 (Fri). Minister PARK’s inauguration ceremony was held at 3 p.m. at the MCST, Government Complex Sejong. In his inauguration address, Minister PARK stressed, “The leading nation cannot be achieved with economic and military strength alone, but also requires cultural influence on the global stage. Korea has now laid the foundation for its path toward being ‘a globally sought-after cultural powerhouse.’”

Train K-Contents Professionals to Advance into Global Market

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) together with the Korea Creative Content Agency (President, JO Hyun-rae, KOCCA) run “Contents Export and Marketing Professionals Training” program from June 21 (Tue) to December in order to facilitate sustainable Korean contents to advance into the international markets. Under the theme of “K-Content Connects the World”, MSCT and KOCCA will train professional experts in contents export and marketing field as well as understanding of the world contents industry.

Celebrate 100th Anniversary of Children’s Day and “2022 Children’s Literature Week”

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST) will organize diverse events with seven other institutions, including Arts Council Korea, Bang Jung Hwan Research Institute to celebrate the “100th Anniversary of Children's Day” from April 30 (Sat) to May 31 (Tue). The week which has the Children’s Day is named as “2022 Children's Literature Week” to celebrate and mark various events for children.
