‘Content, Traveling to a New World’ - Online BroadCast WorldWide from September 6th to 10th-

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST, Minister Hwang Hee) hosts and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) organizes the ‘BroadCast Worldwide 2021 (BCWW)’ starting from September 6th to 10th via online. This international event will also be streamlined in real-time via the official website of BCWW (www.bcww.kr). Started from 2001, the BCWW has been serving as the topmost broadcast content market in Asia and a driving force of the Korean contents exporting to the overseas market. It is expected that more than 150 buyers from 50 different countries and 170 production companies to participate with more than 1300 people.

 

 The theme of the 2021 program isContent, Traveling to a New Worldwith diverse side programs, including online market with online display and business consultation, diverse lectures on the trend and the future of the global broadcasting market, and “New Media Contents” award.

 

The BCWW will provide opportunities for all the participants to view video contents through the online showcase and facilitate more effective business networking opportunities. This global event will provide virtual business meetings between exhibitions and buyers via online screening, virtual and in-person conferences on topics that reflect current trend, and online and offline pitching for buyers.

 

A warm up session of the BCWW will start from August 31st under the title of “Buying Habits & Trends in Korea”. The main events begin from September 6th, providing informative and enriching keynote sessions and workshops for participants, including “ The latest Original Unscripted Formats from the UK and Europe”, and “The Current landscaper of Korean OTTs (Over The Top) and their Vision for the Future”.

 

Rob Wade, Fox Entertainment as president, will deliver keynote conversation under the title of “The Appeal of K-Contents and their Future in the Evolving landscape of Industry”. On September 8th, Clément Schwebig, Managing Director of Warner Media, will be with the audience for the third keynote conversation on the “Contents industry and Strategy”. Not only will a series of lectures delivered but also there will be award ceremony on September 9th and 10th. Do not miss the variety of stories including the behind-the-scene stories about the production of dramas, including guest lectures from major broadcasting companies.

 

 The MCST said that the BCWW has been serving as the platform for Korean contents exporting to the overseas market, and gained its popularity continuously. The Ministry also emphasized that it will fully support this global event to be an equipped occasion to showcase and promote the Korean culture worldwide.
