The first mega scale Hallyu festival, “2025 My K-FESTA,” which brought together Korea’s cultural industries in one place, was held successfully from June 19 to 22 at Olympic Park in Seoul. The Festa attracted over 46,000 Hallyu fans from Korea and abroad, including approximately 17,000 international tourists visiting Korea.

Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Yu In Chon, MCST) and organized by the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (President PARK Chang Shik, KOFICE), this year’s event served as a platform where global Hallyu fans and industry professionals came together to explore the present and future of Korea’s cultural industries. The festival featured hands-on exhibitions encompassing various sectors, including K-pop, fashion, K-food, and lifestyle, along with an international conference showcasing future visions from industry experts.

At the K-pop concerts held on June 19 and 21, leading K-pop artists such as NCT TEN, CHUNG HA, ITZY, LEE YOUNG JI, and aespa took the stage. On June 20, the international conference brought together renowned experts from around the world, hosted by BoA — the iconic singer known as the “Star of Asia,”.

An exhibition and experience zone were set up in and around the Handball Stadium, featuring 134 Korean companies from various fields including fashion, housing, lifestyle, K-food, webtoons, and artificial intelligence technologies. International visitors expressed their excitement at being able to experience Korea’s unique lifestyle in one place, noting that it felt like all the popular pop-up stores typically found in areas like Seongsu and Hongdae were gathered in a single venue.

“My K-FESTA” presented a new festival model that combines popular appeal with industrial value, bringing together Hallyu fans and cultural industry stakeholders. The ministry plans to hold “My K-FESTA” annually as a regular event that fuses culture and industry, blurs the boundaries between online and offline experiences, and delivers tangible business outcomes — ultimately developing it into Asia’s leading cultural industry festival.
