Global Interest in Korean Culture Heats Up with Information on Diverse Aspects

Following K-Pop, K-Classical, and K-Games, April Edition Introduces K-Webtoons

Global attention is increasingly drawn to the Monthly Magazine “KOREA,” an English publication aimed at introducing and spreading Korean culture. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister YU In Chon, MCST) has released the April edition in response to this growing interest.

Each edition of the Monthly Magazine “KOREA” features a specific aspect of Korean culture, and following the trends of K-Pop, K-Classical, and K-Games, the April edition introduced K-Webtoons. It provides diverse information[1] about Korean culture from various perspectives, including experts, producers, and consumers, and features interviews, famous places, or must-visit locations for a comprehensive view.

In addition, the magazine offers a wide range of Korean cultural information, including easy-to-make Korean recipes with internationally available ingredients, introductions to young traditional artisans, and services useful for those visiting Korea or wishing to experience Korean culture from abroad.

Feedback from locals includes “The quality of information is rich, and the design is neat,” “It’s organized by topic, and it’s good to read a variety of new content available in each edition,” “Even people who don’t know about the magazine want to know more about Korea once they read it,” among others.

The Monthly Magazine “KOREA” is produced in both print and online formats, with 10,000 copies distributed monthly to 175 diplomatic missions abroad, across 80 countries, and to key figures in the media, academia, and business world, as well as to foreign missions in Korea.
