Korean Government supports Specialized Course for Creating Online Streaming Contents

  The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST) together with the Korea Creative Content Agency (President JO Hyun-rae, KOCCA) support the operation of specialized training courses to educate experts in the field of online streaming contents (OTT) service. To meet this purpose,  applicants from domestic graduate schools are invited to apply from February 17(Thu) to March 17 (Thu).

 

  With the recent growth of the online streaming service industry, there are more amd more demands in planning, creating, and producing various streaming contents. Accordingly, MCST is promoting project to support graduate schools on ‘Online Streaming Video Service/Content' for the first time this year in consideration of the on-site demand for a specialized curriculum that reflects the current trend.

 

    MCST and KOCCA support selected schools to operate specialized curriculum such as online video service content planning and production, marketing, and content intellectual property (IP) business, and to nurture customized professionals through education centered on industry-university cooperation projects.

 

 

  Through the application processes, two graduate schools will be granted to open and operate specialized departments and training courses in the field of online video service. Each selected graduate school will prepare process, including developing curriculum, selecting 20 or more students, and conducting education for two years course starting from September 2022. Students who will be taking the courses will be granted with full scholarships during two years.  

 

  Domestic graduate schools who are interested in the application can submit an application through the official KOCCA website (www.kocca.kr) from March 10 (Thu) to 17 (Thu).
