“Korea Travel Expo 2026” Opens Under Theme “Travel Beyond the Everyday, Journeys That Benefit Local Communities”

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister CHAE Hwi-young, MCST), together with the Korea Tourism Association (KTA), will host the Korea Travel Expo 2026 from March 19 (Thursday) to 22 (Sunday) at the COEX Magok Exhibition Center and Magok Square. Second Vice Minister KIM Dae-hyun of MCST will attend the opening ceremony on March 19 to celebrate the expo’s opening and take part in hands-on programs.

Annual Reading Rate in 2025: 94.6% for Students, 38.5% for Adults

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism conducted the “2025 National Reading Survey” and released its results. The survey targeted 5,000 adults aged 19 and older (through in-home face-to-face interviews) and 2,400 elementary (4th grade and above), middle, and high school students (through in-school questionnaire surveys). This biennial survey was conducted nationwide from September 1 to November 5, 2025.
