Key Cultural and Arts Figures from 11 Countries to Visit South Korean Cultural Festivals

Korea Grand Sale 2025: International Visitors More Than Doubled Year-on-Year with Various Shopping and Tourism Benefits

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister YU In Chon, MCST), in collaboration with the Visit Korea Committee (Chairperson LEE Boo Jin, VKC), concluded the Korea Grand Sale 2025 successfully, attracting a record 346,000+ international visitors from January 15 (Wed.) through February 28 (Fri.). This number represents greater than two-fold growth compared to the previous event.

The 2025 Korea’s City of Books proclamation ceremony, which is set to announce the host city for the nation’s largest reading culture festival, the 2025 Korea Reading Festival, will take place on March 13 (Thursday) at 3:00 PM at the Peace Education Center within the Aegibong Peace Ecological Park in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province.

2025 APEC Summit: Preparing a Cultural APEC to Showcase Korea’s Collective Cultural Strength

On February 28 (Friday), Minister Yu In Chon of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) convened with key stakeholders, including the APEC 2025 Preparatory Office (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Korea Heritage Service, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Gyeongju City, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), and the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE), to review the preparation of cultural initiatives for the upcoming APEC Summit, under the aim to successfully host the 2025 APEC Summit and enhance Korea’s cultural presence on the global stage.
