Listening to Voices in the Field to Strengthen the Competitiveness of Regional Tourism

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST) is holding a series of four consecutive discussions and collecting opinions from the field to establish its 6th Basic Tourism Promotion Plan (2023 to 2027). Following the first discussion on October 27 (Thur), the second discussion was held in the Seunggwangjae building in Jeollabuk-do Province’s Jeonju Hanok Village on November 2 (Wed). Chaired by 2nd Vice Minister CHO Yong-Man, the second discussion was on ways to strengthen the competitiveness of regional tourism to make an even more attractive tourist destination.

Commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the Return of the Oegyujanggak Uigwe

The National Museum of Korea (Director-General: YOON Sung Yong) presents the special exhibition “Pinnacle of Propriety: The Uigwe, Records of the State Rites of the Joseon Dynasty,” commemorating the 10th anniversary of the return of the Oegyujanggak Uigwe. This exhibition interpreted the results of the past 10 years of research on the Uigwe in more general terms.

Exchange & Cooperation to Expand in the Culture and Content Industry between the Korea, China and Japan

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST) together with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, and the Bureau of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan held the 15th Trilateral Cultural Content Industry Forum from October 27 (Thu) to October 28 (Fri) and adopted a joint statement of ways for trilateral cooperation in culture and content between the three countries.

Korean Classical Musicians Sunwook KIM, Yeol Eum SON, Yekwon SUNWOO & In Mo YANG to Color The Blue House in Autumn Hues

This fall, Sunwook KIM, Yeol Eum SON, and Yekwon SUNWOO (pianists) and In Mo YANG (violinist) will give special performances at the Blue House (Cheongwadae) Yeongbingwan. Cheongwadae is the previous presidential office and residence that has now become a public park and cultural complex, and will serve as the stage for the “K-classical music” stars, who have captured the hearts of international classical music fans, to celebrate the returning of Cheongwadae to the public.

- The National Museum of Korea to Present the Special Exhibition Six Centuries of Beauty in the Habsburg Empire - Starting October 25 (Tue.), the National Museum of Korea (Director General: Yoon Sung Yong) will be hosting the exhibition Six Centuries of Beauty in the Habsburg Empire in partnership with Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien in Austria to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Austria and Korea.
