The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) of the Republic of Korea will posthumously award the Order of Sport Merit’s Cheongnyong Medal to the late President of the African Taekwondo Union (AFTU) Ahmed Mohamed Fouly, who passed away last year at the age of 72.

The Late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee’s Private Collection of Cultural Artifacts and Art Works Donated

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) of the Republic of Korea announced today that the family of the late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee donated 11,023 items from his private cultural and art collection to the National Museum of Korea (NMK) and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA). The donation comprises around 23,000 separate pieces.

A Korean webtoon highlights the importance of copyright in daily life

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST, Minister Hwang Hee) of the Republic of Korea and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO, Director General Daren Tang) have jointly created a webtoon (webcomic) entitled “Let’s Draw a Dream” (written and illustrated by Youngwook Lee) to enhance respect for copyright and published it online.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Hwang Hee, hereinafter ‘MCST’) will hold the ‘2021 Play True Day Ceremony’ at 2p.m. on April 9 (Friday) at Crystal Ballroom, Lotte Hotel World with Korea Anti-Doping Agency (President Lee Young-hee, hereinafter KADA). In particular, this time the ceremony will be live-streamed online via Youtube channel of KADA in order to minimize attendance at the event site to prevent further spread of COVID-19.
