The 1st 2021 Korea Wellness Tourism Festa held in Gangwon
Hybrid Korea Wellness Tourism Festa to be held in Wonju and via Youtube
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST) and the Korea Tourism Organization (President AHN YoungBae, KTO) host the 1st Korea Wellness Tourism Festa from November 6 (Sat) through 28 (Sun). The newly launched festival will provide opportunities for people to heal and revitalize through wellness tourism during the long suffering COVID-19 pandemic. The slogan of the event this year is “Healing and Travelling”.
Participants to this event will have chances to escape from their busy life and experience wellness tourism through various wellness programs, including discount campaigns and open classes. On November 6 there will opening ceremony held at Museum San, Wonju (Gangwon Province). The opening ceremony provides abundant opportunities for people to heal and refresh both their mind body. The opening ceremony will be livestreamed via the Youtube channel (www.youtube.com/channel/UC2E-8g_Z5yRNuldLgM4CH1A) and will also provide English subtitles for international participants and audience.
During the festival, there are diverse programs waiting for participants both on and offline. From the day of the opening ceremony, open classes will run throughout November 28. The open classes will allow wellness beginners to experience for free of charge. There are music therapy meditation, spa experience, and wellness tour. On the official website, there are four themes showing good places to take rest. Beauty & Spa, Korean Traditional Medicine, Nature & Forest, and Healing & Mediation are the four sub categories, where participants can enjoy abundant experiences and the official website also shows vivid photos and video clips. Relaxing spa, and exploring ancient wisdom with traditional medicine, immersing in a lush green forest, and recharging with meditation are all possible here in the 2021 Korea Wellness Tourism Festa.
